Allison Pao is a junior at Harvard studying Social Studies with a focus field in Education. She grew up in New York City, Tennessee, and Switzerland, and she now calls all three places her home. A passionate educator, Allison was awarded the Harvard Presidential Public Service Fellowship this summer to teach 7th grade Social Studies through a non-profit called the Breakthrough Collaborative. There, she designed her own curriculum and piloted DKP materials in the process. On campus, she is involved in several education-related initiatives, and she also helps direct volunteer teaching programs in China and India. In the future, she hopes to make an impact in the education space as a teacher, administrator, policymaker, or scholar.
