Justin Pottle

Content Specialist

Justin is a content specialist at the Democratic Knowledge Project and a PhD candidate in the Harvard Department of Government, where he works across American politics and political theory. He studies how economic, social, and technological changes in the American media system have shaped the public's relationship with democratic institutions. At the DKP, Justin focuses on strategic planning and civics curriculum development, particularly how content-based approaches to teaching American political institutions can better incorporate questions of equity and civic agency. Prior to coming to Harvard, Justin was a newspaper reporter in Southern Connecticut, winning awards for his coverage of the recovery from Hurricane Sandy. He holds a BA from Wesleyan University's College of Social Studies.
