Liz Block is an educator bridging practice and research. Her research focuses on the ethical and societal norms of schooling, as well as comparative models of school organization. Through the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics, she is currently a project and strategy lead in Educational Ethics and her research at the DKP centers on the development of civic mindsets and civic learning in middle school students. Liz is also a teaching fellow at HGSE. Prior to these roles, Liz developed dual-language community schools from preschool through high school, holding teaching positions and principalships. She also led enrichment programs and community outreach initiatives. She holds an Ed.M. in Specialized Studies from HGSE and a B.A. in Political Science, International Relations, and Latin American Studies from UCLA.
