Meena Venkataramanan is a junior at Harvard pursuing a joint A.B. degree in English literature and South Asian studies with a minor in government. Aside from working with the Democratic Knowledge Project, Meena founded the South Asian Americans in Public Service (SAAPS) initiative at Harvard, through which she brings prominent American public servants of South Asian descent to speak at Harvard and has launched a journal of South Asian American civic thought. This past summer, she also founded Stories from the Border, a journalistic platform for immigration and border issues. In her free time, Meena enjoys reading and writing about American political trends, First Amendment issues, and English literature. She aspires to become a legal scholar and political journalist and has written for ABC News, POLITICO, and FiveThirtyEight.
