Research Assistant
Tom Nachtigal is a research assistant in the DBIR team of the Democratic Knowledge Project. She is currently an Ed.M. student at the Human Development and Education program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, with a concentration in Global, International, and Comparative Education. Trained as a lawyer, before coming to Harvard, she served as a legal advisor in the Israeli government, practicing international law and human rights, an experience that informed her interests in exploring how civic education can enhance deep appreciation for human rights and democratic values. Tom holds an LL.M. from Columbia Law School, and an LL.B./B.A. in law and international relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
