Elections Module

ABOUT THIS RESOURCE:

The elections module is a set of activities to support teaching and learning about elections in the United States. The range of activities is designed to be usable any year, whether candidates on the ballot are at the local level, the state level, or the federal level. It was designed for 8th grade students and is aligned with Massachusetts 8th grade History and Social Science Content Standards. It can be used in other states and adapted for high school students. Topics include leadership, political parties, exploration of how elections work today, history and contemporary questions around voting rights, and exploration of how voting could change in the future.
