Emily Barr

Operations and Evaluation Manager

Emily Barr is the Operations and Evaluation Manager at the Civics and History Inquiry Partnership. In this role, she supports organizational operations and systems across IH Magnify and DKP Launch, with a focus on program evaluation.

Before joining the Civics and History Inquiry Partnership, Emily was a Principal Associate Consultant at Education Resource Strategies, where she worked with K-12 schools and districts across the country on high school redesign and strategic scheduling initiatives. Previously, she spent eight years at the Boston-based education non-profit EdVestors, where she led measurement, evaluation, and learning activities across the organization. This included managing the annual $100,000 School on the Move Prize, aimed at disseminating best practices of the most improving Boston Public Schools. Her interest in K-12 education began during a year-long fellowship working at Match Charter Public High School.

Emily has a master’s degree in Research and Evaluation Methods from the Lynch School of Education at Boston College and a bachelor’s degree in History and Gender & Women’s Studies from Bowdoin College.
