Janet Ware

Instructional Coach

Janet Ware is a Field Coordinator for the School of Education at Salem State University, observing and coaching pre-licensure students during field engagement; and allowing her to deepen a career-long commitment to collaborative practice to improve teaching and learning. Extending recent work as the Project Facilitator for New England Arts for Literacy (NEAL), Janet has also provided professional development to school districts, museums and historic sites in support of arts-integrated learning and 21st century understanding. Her current work and interests build on a 28-year middle school teaching career, and a deep personal commitment to the arts in learning. Janet lives in Gloucester, Massachusetts, where she is the director of Cape Ann Collectors, a lively gallery devoted to locating, conserving and presenting work by historically significant Cape Ann artists.
